Availability
Availability is the attribute that tells the channel whether a product is currently purchasable, using standard values like 'in stock', 'out of stock', 'preorder', or 'backorder'.
Availability is one of the most performance-critical fields in the whole feed because it directly controls whether a product is eligible to show and whether the channel trusts you. Channels also cross-check it against the availability shown on your landing page.
It matters because mismatches cost money both ways. Advertising an 'in stock' product that is actually sold out wastes ad spend on clicks that cannot convert and frustrates shoppers, and repeated mismatches can lead to disapprovals. Marking sellable inventory as 'out of stock' quietly hides products you could be selling.
In the feed it sits in the availability attribute and must use the exact values the channel accepts. Because stock changes constantly, this is a field where freshness matters more than almost any other; a daily feed may not be frequent enough for fast-moving inventory.
MartechFlow lets you map your stock field to the correct availability values and refresh the feed on a schedule you choose, so 'in stock' in your feed keeps matching what is really on your shelves and on your product pages.
